Hey I'm Caroline - being in a relationship for the last seven years really made me wake up and smell the roses. I've been the loving girlfriend always there for my partner helping him to persue his dreams and let my priorities take a backseat . I had always though about having the dream wedding and had always thought that by the time I'm 25 I'll be married with one kid and have the dream job. But guess what??? How's about ..... NOOO!! Early this year I woke up and smelt the roses- a year prior to that I was secretly resenting my partner for not making a woman out of me and giving me the ring I deserve. Like after all the s*** I had done you'd think it would at least warrant a ring on the right??? NOPE!!! But you know what? When I think about it... I'm glad he didn't now cause then I wouldn't have had the chance to realise my own dreams of travelling before really tying down. I resented my partner for the last I don't know how long... for not giving me the ring I had first longed for when really now I'm so thankful that he didn't cause unintentionally he helped me realise that there is do much out there that I need to do for myself. I blamed him for things that I didn't have but if I had to be honest with myself- I really don't know what I want. I'm fickle cause I can be - I'm allowed to change my mind if I want to. Smelling the roses has inspired me to embark on a 7 week journey to the South Americas- I don't know what I'll find but all I can say is that MBF (me brains fried) !!!
