SURFERS PARADISE This is not paradise at all..infact its far from it! After Byron a complete chilled little hippy town this concrete jungle was not impressive to us! we stayed for 2 nights, the first night we allw ent to bed about 7 as i think the whole of the last few weeks had caught up with us..the second night we went on a big backpackers bar crawl which was pretty fun! met some cool people who we chilled out with the next day until we had to get the bus to Brisbane. Not much to say about this place really! BRISBANE Well once again not really much to say, we were there for 12 hours so can't really give it a fair evaluation! we arrived at 6pm and left at 6am! the hostel didnt have enough room for us so Nad and Ash booked a double room and we sneaked in without reception noticing us, four people in a tiny room was a bit of a squeaze but was a cheap nights sleep so didnt matter! NOOSA Noosa is another very chilled out place, its very beautiful but not much to do so we only stayed for 2 nights! it was here we booked our Fraser Island and Whitsunday trips which we're all very excited about! RAINBOW BEACH This is where we did our Fraser Island trip from, we stayed for 2 nights before the trip and guess what..bumped into Jon and Carl again! They'd already done it and said it was awesome so we're really looking forward to it! FRASER ISLAND Fraser Island was one of the best things we've done yet.We did a self drive tour which basically means you and 10 other people get given a massive truck with camping equipment and enough food to last you three days, you get a map of the island a little talk on how not to annoy the dingos and not to swim in the shark infested ocean and then your off on your own! The island is your oyster!! We were in a group with us 4 (obviously) 2 Danish girls, 2 German girls, a Swiss girl, a Swiss boy and a Canadian lad! We all got on like a house on fire and had the best 3 days together! We were a little family and all had nicknames..Alice was Buba as she was the baby of the group, Ash was ginger, Nad was Cheerleader as they thought she spoke like a cheerleader the whole time and Soph was Barbie!! it was amazing driving along these perfect beaches in a big truck! We stopped at Lake Mckenzie on the first day which is probably one of the most beautiful things we've ever seen! We set up camp in an awesome spot along the beach and cooked a big steak dinner for us all on our camping stove, we had to do it in the dark which was a bit of a challenge but it tasted good! we all had a party on the beach that night and saw the most beautiful moon rise ever! no one managed to get a good photo of it unfortunately! On the second day we drove to a place called Indian Head where we did a little walk and sat on a cliff watching the sharks, dolphins and mantarays in the ocean below! In the evening we set up camp in a very scary place which a few of us didnt really feel safe in as there were snake holes around!!! When we got out our food to make dinner we were invaded by Dingos which was really scary! When we tried to scare them off they just got aggressive and started growling at us so we had to back off! They came and stole our bread and ran off! We knew they'd be back so we had to get the food packed away quickly, you've never seen 11 people eat so fast!!! They came back every now and again after that but once we'd cleared away the food they didnt stay fir very long! We got up early the next morning to watch the sun rise which was beautiful as you can see from the pictures! The next day we packed up and went to lake wabby..We had to do a massive walk throuhg the rainforest and then the desert to get to it..we were so hot by the time we got there we all rolled down the sand dunes straight into the lake! We got the ferry back, cleaned out the car and then went back to the hostel to have showers..the best feeling ever..we all stank!! We went out for a group meal and then the four of us had to get the coach up to Airlie beach..it was a fourteen and a half hour coach journey!! HORRIBLE! We left rainbow at 7pm and arrived  in Airlie at 9.30am! AIRLIE BEACH This is where we are now, our first day here we slept all day after the coach journey..The weather hasnt been that great here so far, its very hot but rainy! We're hoping it'll clear up as we go sailing around the Whitsundays for 2 nights tomorrow! We'll let you know how it goes! So there you have it..Oz so far..Now we've done that we're hoping to get a few more messages on our website from you all! you've been VERY slack recently!
