After getting the ferry across we arrived on Fraser Island and hopped on to our massive 4 wheel drive bus and met our group and Damo - our awesome tour guide and driver for the next few days. After a roller coaster ride on the sand dunes, first of many, we arrived at Lake McKenzie. Not only was it beautiful but we were told about all the beauty benefits from the lake. We were told to exfoliate our whole bodies including teeth with the sand and that the water would make our hair soft. So that's what we would and we came out with smooth skin, whiter teeth and really soft hair! After an amazing lunch, where we loaded up on salad and fruit after a lack of it while travelling, we did two bush walks and headed to our lovely accommodation and dinner. After we had Goon, aussie wine from a bag, for the first time with Hannah and Claire, two girls from England also travelling. It's was pretty foul.
