"Imagination is more important than knowledge." Albert Einstein
If Albert said it, it must be true, and we're banking on it as we are not participating in traditional education this year. But for those of you who are, we wish you all the best! Go hard, stay strong, and finish well. May you find purpose in each day, perseverance in each matter, and potential in each person. You are making a difference - bless you.
Today is a quiet day for us at "home" as the cousins are back to school and Ryan is experiencing his first day of teaching (oh how I remember that day!). We will pop over to Grandma's and help her with a few things as Tuesday is her laundry day and she needs a few more groceries (I wonder who keeps eating them?)
Yesterday was relatively quiet as well. Three of us were recuperating from one last overnighter with the cousins before school and routine took precedence. In fact, it was an uneventful day altogether - no famous quotes to quote, no Freudian slips... until something clunked in Grandma's dishwasher.
Now, this is not the first time I've been to Grandma's house. I have been to Grandma's lots. I have wallpapered her kitchen, rearranged her furniture, organized her china cabinet, and cleaned out her shed twice... AND I have done her dishes lots. I know that when you open the dishwasher, the water stops, and you can settle the clunking dish. Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to me, Grandma's dishwasher doesn't work as well as I do, or as it used to.
I opened the dishwasher door expecting a warm poof of steamy air - and was assaulted by a blast of spewing water! In my disbelief ... I opened the door again! It's a good thing I know how to work at Grandma's house as she now has nicely washed kitchen cupboards, freshly wiped counters and a brand newly mopped floor!
(P.S. hug a teacher, embrace a student!)
