The year 2012 has slithered in and we are enjoying the very first day of it in 76 degree sunshine. On Friday we had a farewell Bar-B-Q by the pools at the park here with Bonnie and Jesper (it was Caitlin's 22nd birthday!) and Gord and Phyllis. It was sad to say goodbye - perhaps more so for them than us as the weather at home is a tad more melancholy and normal people have to go back to school.
Tim's brother Jim and his wife Sandra (and two of their grandsons) joined us on Friday here in the desert and stayed the weekend. We all enjoyed the sun and mineral pools at our park, some of us went to a WWII aircraft museum, and some of us (two to be exact) went shopping. It is an experience all of its own to shop with my sister-in-law Sandra Smith on any regular day. On New Year's Eve, however, without any children, when the shop keepers give out champagne to the customers, and every store is more intriguing than the first… it becomes an event beyond assessment!
We have thoroughly enjoyed the adventure that 2011 has offered us and are eagerly anticipating the continuum of our quest in 2012. May you encounter your own adventure through another year. May you also be blessed with good health, good friends, passion, purpose, and the definitive knowledge that you are loved.
Happy New Year!
