Hey everyone!! I'll just start off by saying that this has been an incredibly long week. I feel like all I have done since I've been home from school has been buying supplies and packing. With each new item that I put into my suitcases I became increasingly excited to start this adventure. After weighing all four of my bags at home my mom and I hopped in the Prather family trailblazer and headed up to the outskirts of the "windy city" to stop at Nora's house to be reunited with the other two education majors. We had a lovely dinner of classic deep dish Chicago-style pizza and then quickly dug into our bags. We spent several hours unpacking and rearranging all of our supplies until our bags were all under 50 lbs. After we finished that we ran to walmart to get a couple last minute supplies and then headed back to Nora's house to take our first malaria pill at 11:00 sharp!! Well, I think it's time for bed now.... good night!! Next time you hear from me I'll be in UGANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!
