Today, we snowshoed up the blue trail to the tower at Sleeping Giant in Hamden CT. It was a cold, windy day with temperature below freezing. This made the snow nice and hard so that our shoes did not sink into the snow. We made good time up and down within 1 hour 40 minutes. The view was clear from the top and several red tail hawks flew by as we looked around. All in all a nice day to snow shoe to the tower.
