Yay..... It's sunny today!!!!! Woohoooo! Day started perfectly with a nice long chat with tom and the family..! Soooooooo happy... Then it was a nice dry walk to work where I saw some very unusual cases.... But then got the text nod from steph, who isn't in the pits with no sunlight of a&e to say that it was sunny and time to go! Sunbathing on the lagoon...with an ice cream... Check! Then it was to sort the plans for the east coast!!! Yay... Finally done!! So...

Woke this morning with a hangover... Unsuprisingly... But I forgot the highlight of the day yesterday... Singing ed Sheeran to the taxi driver on the way home... We hiked up the red arrow... Went to a market... Had a hot dog... But it was just a sausage on a piece of bread.... Dad it wasn't a proper BBQ style... You would be gutted..! Then walked back to the lagoon.... So the day started with a cup of tea and chill out planning out trip down the east coast... We now have a much better idea of the dates and times and things we can fit in to do on the journey.... I think I shall have to do a different Whitsunday's tour to Kat and steph... Given the previous attempts at boat trips I think a 3 day live aboard may be pushing it a bit... So I think il do the trip where you stay on a paradise island instead of a boat chilling in a ham...

This is written in retrospect 2 days late... After 2 nights on the town and a distinct lack of sunshine... So the day started poorly.... It rained... A lot! The roads were flooded, our clothes we're drenched....had to ring my skirt out in the sink before starting the shift... Kat was sensible and wore a pair of shorts taking her work trousers in the bag.... Though she forgot the spare pants....! So the dry trousers and pants combo made for an interesting damp pa...

So today started promising.... The weather was dry and some blue sky peeking through... So we planned a strong morning in placement followed by teaching and an afternoon sunbathing.... It went downhill considerably..... First my 2nd pair of placement shoes broke... So Kat taped them together.... I looked like a dunce! Then there was a poor patient flow, and not so keen doctors so it was a combination of chatting with JCU students... Finding some key places to go....
