A quiet morning before getting to cairns.... Not. What a bloody hassle getting a shuttle is..! First of all it was 20mins late... Then the guy who turned up was mental....there was no room to breath in the van.... There were about 2 people too many for the space then 12 suitcases too many for the boot (ok that may be a slight exaggeration) but still it was a bit much..!
Plane journey was good... Highlight...ice cream!! We got given it for free as part of the in flight food!
Then we got to cairns... As we landed it rained.... What!! I did not get that memo!!! But it is on the cusp of the rainforest....so I suppose I should have thought!!! We arrived at the accommodation to be greeted by Stephi!!!! Yay! We have finally arrived to join the third musketeer!!!! And best of all there was a curry awaiting us and wine chilling in the fridge!!!! A lovely chilled evening relaxing, gossiping and catching up!!!! So excited about this next section of our adventure!!! Steph has got it all down to a tee and has organised a full social calendar in preparation for our arrival!!!
Accom is pretty basic but tidy enough! And the fact my clothes are now in a wardrobe makes me so so happy!
