It's 10 am and we are waiting for the bus to take us to phnom penh its a 4-5 hr journey but the bus is a good size and we have good seats it only cost us $5 each.We have only booked two days here , cant wait to see the killing fields .Have just arrived at hotel Na Na £6-50 a night each wich includes breakfast !!!,and it's great hotel right in the centre of it all and it's bloody manic outside the smoke and fumes .Yet it is in walking distance to everywhere, one of the best hotels so far. We paid $3 in a tuk tuk to get here from bus station but to be honest we were well ripped off , we could have walked or paid $1 .Then you've got the aroma from the stalls . I haver never seen so much traffic in my life millions of mopeds carrying anything from 4 passengers to 5ft trays of eggs lol .Whent to the market today, followed the map and after asking numerous locals we ended up walking for over 4 hrs in 35c heat , hence I'm in bed wif sunstroke !! But not before we Went to see the killing fields, took about 30 mins in a tuk tuk $10 return . It was heart renching to see . They give you a headphone cassette thing so as you walk round you get a personnel audio guide, unlucky for me I spent a lot of time throwing up in the loo. What really hit me was that it only finished in 1979 .The thing I've learned about Cambodia is that they seem to not like tourists, wich you can understand when its starting to look like benidorm , Plus after all the hardship and suffering they don't seem to take care of theire country like the Thais . Everyone is that busy and can become quite aggressive with you .Maybe it's because we are tourists ? I really can't tell . Was talking to a black American man today and he can Waite to get away from cambodia , he says he's ignored everywhere he goes and they treat him bad becouse of his colour, worst thing is I can actually see the Cambodians being like that. All in all though Cambodia is a great place to visit and would deffinatley come back .
