Ok this will be very short as we only spent 2 days there, but we liked so much that i am now writing this from Koh Tao and were on our second visit, We got the Ferry from Koh Phangan to Koh Toa on the 22nd, bright and early. We arrived at the pier and well one of my biggest fears is walking on bridges over water, i lose my life so anyway what better way to get over my fear that going to Koh Tao!! To get off the boat we had to get our bags and walk doin an almost fully veritigal slope that barely fitted myself not to mention Me, my backpack and my two other bags, there was a barrier on one side and absolutely nothing on the other side, I really nearly collapsed i got down and was pretty shaken and started walkin the bridge was never ending that i had to run, i was so paniced it was a horrible feeling. But i did it today no bother so i finally think im getting over it. We had no accomodation so said to the taxi to drop us someplace. HE dropped us at Sairee Cottages, They were really really nice and had hot water and everything, we were well impressed with that! Big change from the last place. Hannah wasnt feeling the best so I went to explore the beach. We were actually stayin on the beach and it was amazing, Koh Toa is famous for divers but it is definitely one of the nicest beaches i have ever seen and on our doorstep. It was amazing! I stayed out for a while and then went back and got ready. We were loving the feel of Koh Toa it was really relaxed and friendly and no stupid traffic and more importantly very few dogs!! We ate in this place and after we ate we saw cocktails at a special offer so we dug into our jugs! We met this diving instructer from England that was telling us where to go. Hannah went to the toilet and all of a sudden i saw the most extravagant drag queen ever going into the local shop ha as you do! So obviously i wanted to follow her/him/it but we couldnt so we listened to diver Steve and ended up in this place that had live music, We ordered ourselves a bucket and were enjoying the music when we weer joined by a swede and 2 english guys, We ordered another bucket and we well on our way to a good night. We went to a beach party where there was a pub and well it was a great night. I managed to come home with everything but hannah managed to lose her shoes in the first bar and her bag in the next.
Next day we woke up I was feeling fine so in a final attempt i went to find hannah stuff we managed to retrieve most of it but her camera and her phone was gone. There she was in Koh Tao with no camera, bit like me in Bangkok, what are we like!! So that day i went down to the beach and attempted to get a much needed tan, We ony managed to make it across the road for dinner and as we sat there we looked out to the sun setting, It was most definitely the most amazing thing i had ever seen so i went to take a picture and my camera slipped and fell on the lens. After hours of turning it on and off and it making the most horrible noise iv ever heard.. i finally had to admit defeat. My piece of s*** of a rip off camera was after giving up on me 5 days after i bloody well bought it. We actually laughed for an hour straight thinking how could this possibly happen. Cameraless and phone less and after 2 wks in thailand and not one photo to show for it we decided best thing to do was pack anf have an early night getting ready for Koh Samiu the next day!
