Sorry for not writing this at the airport, as you will see I did not have a huge amount of time before my flight.
Monday was my last day at the apartment so I made sure everything was sorted and packed. I left at around lunchtime and headed off to Iain's where I would be staying the night. After dropping my stuff off and changing, I went back into the CBD to visit Raffles for my afternoon tea. It was lovely! Very smart in there, with a harpist playing, and large plates of cakes and sandwiches. After around an hour of eating, I got the MRT back to Iain's.
Tuesday morning I went out to Tampines to go to a post office to send some maps, that Margie had given me, back to the UK. Tuesday afternoon I went down to the CBD to visit Lau Pa Sat for my last meal, before heading out to football. I didn't really feel like going, but they said they needed me, so I was out there for 45 minutes before they paid for a taxi back to Simei for me. Once back, I changed and made sure everything was packed before heading off to the airport. The flight home was okay, but very long. The food was good though, which made up for a screen smaller than the palm of my hand. It was weird being on the tarmac in Singapore at 11pm Tuesday night, then sitting on the the tarmac in London at 4.45am on Wednesday morning. It was lovely seeing Mum and Dad at the airport, which is where I had seen them last. I had done so much since being at Heathrow last time.
