Met Liz and the others, she was slightly peeved as I forgot to go to the airport as was chatting to Steve Harrey! Am one of 8 blokes with a group of 40 girls, things looking up! Everyone seems friendly and all are from England, we get checked into the rooms and the others meet up and explore, I skip it to have a nap, needed after that bus ride.
We all meet up and head to Koh Sang Road and go to a few bars, drinking buckets (above) and beer towers. Later on a few of the girls head off to a ping pong show, disturbing but not to be missed! We are out until 2 before heading back to the hotel bar to carry on for another hour or so, everyone fresh from the U.K. is very shocked at how cheap the drink is so they took full advantage! Especially my Irish roomate who was asleep in the hotel corridor when I found him at 3, fortunately I'd bought a bottle of cold water so woke him up. The hotel phone rang at 6 and it was this bloke's mum, couldn't wake him so had to talk to her myself, she was convinced Thailand was 7 hours behind the U.K. and I was getting mixed up. Just manage to avoid the temptation to slam the phone down on her and got rid of her in a few mins.

We got up around 12 and went out for some sightseeing. More buddhas and temples. 9 of us got into 2 Tuk-Tuks, they will drive you around for hours for next to nothing as long as they are allowed to take you to a jewlers, tailors or a travel company. The pressure selling gets on your nerves a bit but it's the best way to get around cheap. Saw a buddha even bigger than big buddha on the island. 46m, very impressive.
Feeling satisfied we had seen enough culture we went back to the hotel and got ready for another night out (apart from my roomate who had 'food-poisoning'). We decided we had to see a ping-pong show, but you need to be a bit drunk before you can face it so hit a few bars. The show consists of women doing various, erm... tricks. They hide some ping pong balls and then shoot them out, quite impressive! Another has a tube stuck in her ....... and then uses it to blow out all the candles on a cake. Another pulls a string of nails out, another a string of razor blades, another ribbons.... and plenty more besides. I ran and ducked behind Liz when one woman who had been shooting a banana out (she could get it quite far) turned and pointed at me! The best had to be the womand who gave members of the audience ballons to hold and used darts in a tube to pop them! All suitably shocked and disturbed we headed back to town to drink our memories away, rolled in around 6am
