Arrived in Adelaide around 08:00. Got off the train and it was straight for coffee! We had a look on the net to see if we could find somewhere to stay and found a self-contained small apartment for just under £40 per night. It was a 15 min taxi ride away in the suburbs but the place is nice enough. Living room and kitchen (open plan) with a small bathroom off the kitchen and the bedroom at the other end, just perfect for us. We walked down the street across the small park outside and found 'Con and Poppy's Cafe'. We went in and the friendliest bloke who we presumed was Con served us the best bacon and egg butty we'd had since leaving home! He let me have a look through his English magazines as we told him how long we'd been away for so he thought it would remind me of home! Thats the thing I love about Australia, everyone is so nice and friendly, we'll be back in his shop tomorrow no doubt! We got directions to the supermarket and went to get supplies. By the time we got back we were knackered so snooze time I reckon! Adelaide seems a nice place, not as clean as Perth but I've only seen a litlle bit of it so far, hopefully we'll venture out tomorrow.

Headed into the city on the bus, I think it's bigger than Perth and definitely not as clean but it's nice enough. We wandered around and spent a couple of hours in an internet cafe trying to sort out where we need to go to get a chest x-ray for our NZ visas, bloody India! We managed to find our way home and watched movies and had bacon sarnies for tea!

Back into town on the bus again. It only takes about 10 mins so we're in a perfect location really. Back to the internet cafe, this time job hunting for NZ. There's the 'Bike Race Down Under' on in Adelaide at the moment so the road the bus usually goes down is closed off as the race goes right through the city so we had to try and find another bus stop to get us back, easier said than done but we finally managed it! Got back to the apartment, bags packed as we're getting the Overland train tomorrow to Melbourne. It leaves at 07:40 so we need to be at the station for 07:00.
