Well we have come to the end of our trip to Nepal.
I wont miss Kathmandu; the traffic, noise, the hawkers and lack of electricity but Pokhara and the mountains are something very special. The first time that you see them you don't really believe that they are there - they look painted onto the skyline.
My legs still hurt after that bloody trek! I think a little practise would have been sensible, I didn't realise that we'd be climbing a mountain - God only knows how Sheena made it up there. The girl usually refuses to walk 40 metres let alone 40Km. I was incredibly impressed, refusing to give away her pack she put her head down, zoned out and went for it - amazing.
But of course, now I know what's possible we are buying bikes when we return - maybe I'll suggest mount Kilamanjaro next year?!
The people in Nepal are the most friendly I've met anywhere in the world - it's somewhere everone should visit at least once.
The walking boots have been sent home and I'm looking forward to a good curry and the hot heat of India. Although we have heard some bad stories about our next stop; Varanasi (Sheena's Mum says that if you look into the eyes of the holy men on the Ganges they cast a spell on you!!)
I hope everyone is enjoying work - I'm not coming back if I can help it!
(p.s can someone text me the utd scores please - cheers!!)
