A long, lonely hike with a beautiful summit.
I started early (7.30) from the refugee to manage my long day program in time: 37 km distance and the highest mountain of Liguria.
Again, the most exciting and unpleasant event was an encounter with animals. This time it was goats and dogs. I was walking on the top of a range of hills and both sides, left and right, were marked by steep, grassy slopes. After a while, I saw a herd of goat, and was happy, because I thought they would make a nice picture. So, from some distance, I took a picture- and, as you can see on the picture- there was also also a guarding dog, who was not amused at all. He barked like crazy at me, so I retreated and decided to make a detour. The dog followed me barking aggressively. Quickly I moved to steeper area. Luckily, the dog didn't like that. But he still followed me. Suddenly, a second dog showed up and I was getting a bit worried. It was difficult climbing in steep area with 1 m grass that cut my skin...Anyway, I finally managed and got rid of dogs, goats, and grass - and found my trail signs as well.
