Hello peeps. We have made you wait a long time again it seems. (simmons writing btw)
Right so.. we left Brisbane a few days ago with the Oz experiance bus and went to surfers paradise but couldnt stay there long because of time problems so all we did was go to a water park. which liv will tell you about .......
Hallo, i wrote this the other day and then it didnt save, so here goes attempt number 2!
Right we left brisbane at 7 and arrived at surfers paradise at 9 ish. We we ditched our stuff in the room and headed straight to the water park. There were the usuall water park slides, some twisting, coming out of rocks etc. There were some we all went on together in a ring for three, they were fun. We were all really tired but as soon as we seen the slides started running round like little children. There were times of course when we had to act responsible and like adults. Like walking out of the pool in a mature manner to look like James bond (matts faverite part of the day). Or running into the pool as if we were of baywatch. That was coming out of the wave pool, the wave pool was amazing. We were doing all kinds of crazy things, like swimming under the waves, making jokes, doing the lobster dance or just lying on our backs and trying not to sink or drown of exhaustion.
There was another pool that was circle with an island in the middle. The water most rather slow in a circular motion. Before we were allowed in we were informed this ride was spacifically a relaxation ride only. So we went on it a number of times as you can imagine. Before lunch we went on Australias highest and fastest water slide (one of those vertical ones). The boys loved it but i must has been sat wrong and it scratched my back. We went on it later on when there was less of a queue, This time on the way up the stairs in the queue it started raining, painfull rain. It wasnt fun. The second time round it scratched my Matts back aswell as mine. I ended up with two big red lines dwn my back hahaha.
We just sat in the room in the night, ate some food and watched some films as we had to be up early for the bus to Byron bay. We arrived early met 2 boys from Brisbane who were allso getting the bus down. When it was 40 minutes late they called to ask why. There was some technical fault and apparently there was no bus that day. Well we allready had another bus booked for tuesday to Surf camp and the next bus to Byron was thursday so we had to pay for another rubbish bus and get the money back of OZ Experience. Then because we arrived late (in the pouring rain) we couldnt get any accomodation in the centre of Byron so we had to go 20 minutes out. It turned out to be one of the best places we have stayed so thankfully something was going our way.
Back to Adam
right all that aside we ended up in Lennox Head a few miles out of Byron bay. well worth a visit as its just a nice little seaside town with a sweet beach. we couldnt get a room together so we all had different roommates. mine where awsome (a surfer dude and his Gf, an american who took alot of stick well, a german girl who didnt mind the americans questions at 3 am about the gestapo and ss, and some japannise ppl who could cook well). Robson was the only english guy in a all french room and livs ppl worked for the hostel. so it turned out pretty good.
my main memory of byron itself was watching flintoff walk of the pitch just before i went for lunch. not the best day. the next day however was great. got back on the Oz experiance (just) and drove to arrawarra beach to learn to surf. surfing is probably the greatest thing i that can be done in the sea whithout a scuba tank. its SUPER DOOPER!! we where all standing up catching the waves by the end. loved it. then we had another early morning surf followed by the loudest phone convo ever!! we may be in Oz but we can still hear you if you talk normally, you dont have to shout as if we are in the distance! sweet talking to you though.
lastnight we sat in a hot tub eating all you can eat pizza getting drunk under the stars in a place alot like the lakes but warm. goodtimes.
now we have hit sydney and are going for a drink with our busmates in a bit. sydney (from what i have seen) is a really really nice looking city. imagine the exact opposite of manchester.
(laids i havnt found a landline yet but ive only been here for a hour. il ask reception in a bit)
see you laters alligators

Liv again, simmons forgot to mention the extremely heavy rain, thunder and lightning last night. After it died down and came to a stand still (the rain at least) people still wouldn't go in the hot tub. So me and Matt got on our swimwear and went to have a dip. It took us around 5 minutes to lower ourselves in it was that hot. Before you knew it, the tub was full of people all drinking, telling stories and being merry! x
