Day 2
Day two began well. Breakfast at 8, class at 9 etc. But 10 minutes into class VOMIT! A girl started up chucking. The professor was very calm he acted as though nothing hadhappened and we went on to learn about fractals and the Fibinachi sequence. The class seems very chill. I am in Lab Group Beta with Garry from Holy Cross and my dear Stephanie. We are currently trying to think of a fight song of some sort to represent the team :) After this we had lunch and then off to Luxembourg City we went for a tour. Meanwhile Stephanie and myself were socializing with Ben and realizing he is quite a great fellow. I was also trying to socialize with others which had varying degrees of success. The Luxembourg City tour was great with lots of info about Luxembourgish life and culture. (I'll spare you the details its much better coming from a man who looked "like a british lord in india at the turn of the century"-Stephanie) Then Ben, Stephanie and I ate chocolate and fruit. We also purchased postcards and the man overcharged us each a euro. My first time being taken advantage of for being a tourist! How exiting! Then we went back to the Klouschter for dinner. There it was revealed that this mornings sickness was due to drinking and another student has awoken a nun in the wee hours of the morning. Three students will have a hearing and we will see what happens.
Now I have told y'all a lot about what happened today but how did I feel about it? (skip this part if you find "feelings" boring) I am pretty tired and have been slightly cranky and sensitive but that is normal for me at the beginning of a trip. I am still acclimating to the newness. I think having to figure out the community of people I am living with is making me nervous. But also the newness of being in a different country is difficult too. Overall I am very happy and exited and having fun. But I must be vigilant about these other feelings as I want my whole trip to be amazing.

B I DO FIND FEELINGS BORING, LILY. NO ONE IS READING FOR YOUR FEELINGS. I jest. But in the background I'm laughing evilly because yes, you guessed it, your blog is shaping up to be /interesting/. HA. Hope you're both having lots of fun!
audrey as long as other people are vomiting, and not you, all sounds good to us. Lily, you made us laugh and happy. love mom and dad
MG A girl vomited in the middle of class?! Wow, Europe seems like a magical place. I hope the classes are interesting (hey, Fibinachi series, COOL. We learned about that in music!) This sounds like a pretty hectic couple of days, especially while getting acclimated to the time difference. Hang in there though, and stay away from annoying drunks. They'll miss the real fun anyways...
