First week of classes is almost over! All my classes are great - the only one i think will be extra hard work is American Government because im not sure what people are talking about but i should get into the flow of it soon! Women Studies, African American studies and Archaeology are amazing! Lots of work and reading to do though!!
Sarah and Jenny from England live in Berry halls across the street and they are great! (Sarah supports Col U!) We have had dinner a few nights together and sat in their rooms getting to know each other and watching American Idol!
I have also met some of the others in College Lodge (my accomadation). Izzie is my RA and so lovely! She has helped me with a couple little things. She introduced me to her friends too and they are really friendly and always say hi! People are always asking how we say and what we call things like whether we go to the bathroom or toliet, is it a sweatshirt or jumper and (the best one) knickers and panties - no one understand evens when we explain!
Martin Luther King day on monday so no classes. Then Mr Obama becomes president on Tuesday - classes still on but they will be showing it in certain rooms and in classes. It will be really good to be part of it, to say i was in the US when Barack Obama made history!
The sun is out but its a little cold. I dont have a jumper (or sweatshirt) so will have to buy one - a College of Charleston one, really became part of the college!!
