Today, we got a chance to explore the city that hosted the awesome Expo 2015 - Milan. We visited most of the famous attractions - galleries, cathedrals, churches, a castle, several gardens and had a great farewell dinner in the city. After a rest and shower we took all our luggage from the hotel and headed towards the airport.

We had another great day at the Expo, visiting a total of over 100 pavilions. Yay! While it was not as grand as Expo 2010 in Shanghai, it was a blast! :)

After a lovely breakfast, we headed to the Expo. Wefirst visited the awesome Israeli pavilion and then continued to visit about four dozen more pavilions from all over the world - some good, some just plain propoganda. All in all, awesome atmosphere. We left when it closed at 23:00 and headed back to the hotel by Metro. A great day!!! :)

We took a taxi to the airport through rush hour, but the airport was not busy so we managed to relax at the lounge. The flight to Milan was eventless, although we left 20 minutes late. Milan airport was almost dead closed when we landed at 22:00. After a loooong time, we got the suitcases and took a train and metro to the hotel. Alas, they gave our room to someone else... . So instead, we got an inadequate room. Bummer. Tomorrow, we're off to the Expo. :)

After another nice breakfast, we headed to town to see many churches at the Quirinal, Lateran and Esquilin. The thing that struck us most, is that while the churches themselves look mostly very well looked after, the same cannot be said about Rome - some parts of it are simply FILTHY! We ended our tour with a disappointing visit to the former Jewish Gettho, which was rather boring. Had a rather bad dinner at a non-kosher restaurant there and headed back to the ho...
