Zvi Josef's Travels
Took a train from Chengdu to Chongqing and started getting used to rural areas Chinese people. They're certainly less "polished" than their city cousins, as can be expected, but we always felt safe and welcome. :)
The train took apx 2 hours (350 km) and the course of the travel was insane. The Chinese literally drilled through hundreds of mountains in order to make a short path for the train. AMAZING.
The green land of the Yangzie river, which is abundant with rich minerals and lots of animals, is absolutely stunning and the mountains in the background look amazing.
After reaching Chongqing, we took a totally crazy taxi ride to our hotel. Took us over half an hour to get from the train station to the hotel - it's a combination of the distance and the heavy traffic.
The hotel itself is big and we obviously got an immediate upgrade to a Club room (not a suite this time...) with Club benefits. Yay! :)
While Chongqing may not be the most exciting place on Earth, it has some very nice places to see and is also an important point to start exploring the Yagzie river.
hopefully, after dinner, we'll explore the town a bit (although knowing us - we'll probably lazy around in the hotel tonight). :)
Have a happy holiday, everyone! :)
