Today I said goodbye to Ian and Heather as we left Fredericton for Riviere du Loup. I had a wonderful time staying with them and was made to feel so welcome - and I was spoiled rotten!

The weather was cold and windy and we were caught in a hail storm when we stopped to take photos! Fortunately we didn't get TOO wet and soon dried out.

The scenery was stunning in places as we took the old road for a while instead of the highway. There had been snow earlier in the day but we could still see it in the trees and around some of the houses.
Most of the signs here are in French so it's fun trying to figure out what it all means as I don't speak any French!

We walked up the road from our motel to a beautiful French restaurant where we had a fabulous 3 course meal. Beautifully prepared and served. Our motel is really lovely too so I'm tucked up in a warm bed watching the American X-Factor. Tomorrow we go to Quebec city!
