9th Nov - Tour Start Date Early start and then boarded our bright yellow tour bus ´Peggy´ and got chatting to our fellow passengers. This was the start of 3 weeks of sooo much fun! 2th October La Paz Arrived in La Paz in the afternoon and took in the sights! Wow what a sight it is!! It isn´t too bad but I think Cuzco spoilt us. It is just very busy, loud, full of poverty and not the prettiest so just spent one night here and then the next day boarded an early bus back to Peru to a place called Copacabana which is a town on Lake Titicaca. Lares Trek and Machu Picchu - 20 - 23 Oct Wow - probably our favourite week so far. This trek was amazing. We began on a little bus with our fellow trekkers (Rehta and Janaine - 2 South African girls who were so great - I knew we would get on well when Janine offered me her gossip magazines to read on the bus!!) As I was writing before... Santa Cruz trek - 10th - 14th October A great (quite tough) few days, trekking every day for 6 hours ish in all sorts of weather, altitude and steepness!! 3rd Oct - Devil´s Nose Train Ride This was an amazing day. After a quick breakfast at 5.30 am we got ready to board the train. As you can see we chose the roof option - a popular choice!
