OK... So the kids and I drove across the country. We started 05/21/2008 in ATL and drove through Birmingham, Alabama; Vicksburg, Mississipppi; Shreveport, LA; Dallas, TX. We spent the night in Weatherford, TX and were off again early in the AM on 05/22. We drove through West Texas that WHOLE DAY! Now I know why they say everyting is bigger in Texas... bigger and pretty boring! I was so happy to see El Paso! We crossed into Las Cruces, New Mexico and then on into TUcosn and Phoenix, Arizona. I spent the night at my mom's that night in Phoenix. THe next day, my brother, TJ, drove with us from Phoenix to Corona, CA. That was only 6 hours total with stops. Joanna and Khyle screamed with delight when they saw the welcome to California sign. They haven't been back in two years!

The best part of the trip was the excitement on their faces when they saw their cousins (my sister's kids) for the first time in two years. They bolted from the car and hugs and laughter were a plenty!

We are here for three weeks. Here is what we have done so far...

05/24 - Chyleise's High School Graduation Party

05/25 - Los Angeles Zoo

05/26 - Memorial Day (Whole lotta nothing) First day to relax in a while!
