Volunteer Ambassador Program
Was given a new project, to work on the vegetable garden this morning. It was strangely therapeutic.
After lunch I had to say goodbye to the guys, which I didn't think would be as hard as it was after only a week spent with them.
Once back in Quito I went to the local market and bought a few souvenirs. Everything is within walking distance, which is great for exploring.
I stayed at a great little hostel called Hostel Jhomana. The owner is Swedish and really makes an effort to make you feel welcome. The rooms are kept traditional, with Al paca blankets and little Quicha dolls on the doors. It's not the type of place you'd go for a party, but it is the kind of place where you can feel at home. I was nicely rested before my flight home.
