Now take a look at this for a BIG BREAKFAST for fuel for our journey ...The Marriott were so sweet concierge was closed so they gave us complimentary breakfast in the breakfast lounge so we took full advantage ;) yummy we are ready for our drive to California today :)

Good morning all!!! After a peaceful comfortable night sleep it's Breakfast time at the Marriott :) dig the new Mexico type interior in the restroom :)

Yay!!!!! 2am we made it to Albuquerque New Mexico :) gosh what a long day of driving we covered nearly 1000 miles in 1 day!!! And soooo good to be in a Marriott & not a Motel 6...this is more like it!!! Ok, about to sink into this awesome Marriott bedding & pillows & get some well earnt rest before the last stretch of our journey tomorrow, gnite zzzzzzzzzzz

Well we have been driving now since 12:30pm (10 hours) we have long since left new Mexico ...it was a beautiful sun drenched desert & mountain plains drive through route 66 with road side animated casinos and cactus to boot & after a challenging drive through peaks & valleys of the mountains of flagstaff & native indian reserves & canyons of northern Arizona we hit the edge of phoenix to join the I-10 we are now nearing the California border :...

Now this is what I call a truck stop restroom Oklahoma is def cleaner than Arkansas : nice to be in Oklahoma & the sun has finally come out after a cloudy journey for the last 4 hours...sunshine & blue skies on route 66 :)
