Hello peeps!

Welcome to my travel blog :-)

As you know, I like a holiday ('no s*** sherlock' I hear you say!) but it's not my fault - I can't help it if I'm addicted to airports!

So far I've visited some fantastic cities and beach resorts around Europe/Carbbean and much as I enjoy being lazy lying on a beach for a week, I've always had the urge to do some 'proper' travelling; exploring further afield, seeing the sights and experiencing different cultures.

My first big adventure is booked and I plan to keep a journal of all my travels from here onwards - the longhaul trips and citybreaks as well.

I will start with my trip to Rome with Allan - our first city break together and where better than the most beautiful city in Italy! I have always wanted to go to Rome so I hope the city and pasta live up to the hype!

Shortly after that, my first big adventure begins with a trip to the Far East with Gail (my holiday buddy). We head to Beijing and travel with our tour group through China visting Xi'An, Hangzhou, Wuzhen and Shanghai. We leave the group and continue onward by ourselves (god help us!) to Hong Kong. I'm really excited as I've had a 'thing' for China for ages and I can't wait to see the amazing sights - photos of which I will be posting here of course!

I have a feeling this might give me the 'bug' so watch this space people...
