Wow, its been forever since i last blogged! ot doing to good at this blogging stuff hey?! But its coz travelling is sooooooo fun and I just dont have time to sit on the internet! ok so a quick update:
My travels have now bought me to Cambodia, and it's an amazing place! I mean i really really liked China-it was super, and Vietnam was brilliant too, but Cambodia is just super fantastic! I don't really know why i love it so much, but its just a great lace, really wish everyone was here to enjoy it to. Dont loads since been in Cambodia, our new tour guide-Kakada is his name-is really good. Our tour guide in Vietnam was nice but not that good a guide. Kakada is a lovely guy who lives in Cambodia and really loves his country...i can see why. Because he loves his country he's so excited abiout showing us as much as he can and getting us to try as much local food as we can. Whenever he buys something that is local here and new for us he always shares it so we can all try it, such a kind guy.
So, what have i been upto hey......soooooo much! Manu u'll be happy to hear that the little traveller has been in evn more pictures, really need to upload them but cant today and this internet place wont let me, but will once i get to bangkok. So we left Veitnam after being in Saigon for a few days, i really liked Saigon, it was weird becasue there is soooo much french influence in Vietnam, epecially is Saigin as the Capital city. There were buildings and places that made me forget tat i was in Vietnam and just looked like Europe with the french st;ye buildings! was realy sad to be leaving Vietnam and had no idea what Cambodia would be like......then we arrived in the capital city of Cambodia-Phenom Penh and i totally loved it! So far in Cambodia we've been to soooo many places and seen so many sides to the country, my favourite wasthe pind like villages!! we stayed in a small locals house and slept preety mch outside with mosquito nets, and the cows, the dogs, the roosters and the sand! it was sooooo cool! we stayed in small villages in Vietnam and China too but this was the best. The people in Cambodia are soooo friendly and I even saw a sikh guy yesterday in Cambodia! not seen another sikh since Hong Kong! we were getting on the bus so i just had enoguh time to quickly say sat sri akhal! ireally wanted to takl to him but there was no time...boo!!! But anyhows, so this village was great, we wnet to a little school there which was actually just a wooden hut with three walls and a blackboard. the teacher cant always get to the school as he is poor and sometimes has to work on the rice fields so the day we went the cte little kids were just hanging around and there was no school on. It was amazing to see! oh gosh, soooo much has happened! So then we went bck to the capital city the other day and our tour guide Kakada runs a small independent school just outside the capital, he's so good, he and his family bought the land and run a no profit school for the local children. So i got to teach! it was the best!!!! the kids were lovely, my class was from 14-21 years old and they were so keen to practice english and it ws sooooo sun! it's the best thing ive done!! i cant explain how great it was, it was brill!!!! then we wnet to another small village the other day and i taught in an even smaller school-once only as its such a dmall viallage, and this schol was run by monks!!! how cool is that!!!!! they teach the local kids for free and teach the monks english. The lead onk had good english and he basically ran the school in a small monistry. That was amazing and a time i'll never forget!
We also went to the killings fields of Cambodia.......i n\knew the history of this country was bad but i had no idea.........i tried my hardest not to cry but i couldn't help it.......the people of this country have been trhu so much and the killings only ended in the 80's! But yet the youth are so full of hope and love, not fear and hatred as you'd expect. I'll put up the pictures of Cambodia once in Thailand and u can see why i love this place so much, its definatly somewhere where i'd come back.
We've also been to the gorgeous beaches! Its white sandy beaches with warm sea water! we went to a hotel to use their pool and it was soooo posh!!!!!!
