Woop woop my longest lay in this morning. I got up at 10.30. Was much needed but it meant I didn't get to return and do one of the other glacier hikes. Which would have giving me an aerial view from the side. Not sure if my legs could've hacked it anyway cause it's over a 7 hour walk in total. I done a shorter walk closer to the hostel instead, that went to a cave system which you could go in and explore. However I did not have a flashlight so went in a little way walking through a shallow stream and took a couple of not very good photos.
The journey back was fairly eventful. Due to the fact it wasn't a loop walking back wasn't as interesting so I listened to some music (cancer bats). After a while a saw a dog and didn't pay no more attention. As I got closer I looked up again and realised it was a deer running straight towards me. Luckily it seemed just as frightened as me and both of us just stood staring at each other. And when I walked towards it it ran off. Thought my gravestone was going to read: Tony Webb RIP gored by a deer.
Came back had an alright Thai curry for lunch, finished Into Thin Air (which is an amazing and unbelievably horrific true story, would recommend to anyone) and now I'm off to sleep. Ready to catch another earlier bus in another 6 hour+ journey.
