Hey all

Spent the last few days in the small colonial town called Villa de Leyva.  Monday was a Colombian holiday so there were lots of people from Bogota there on holiday and a great atmosphere over the weekend.

Decided we need the beach, so after a journey of 20 hours or so, we have made it to the north coast to a town called Santa Marta.  Steaming hot here - 35 degrees!  Starting our 6 day trek to Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) tomorrow which should be great.  The trek is apparently operated by the FARC guerillas and the money we pay ensures our security!!

Anyway just a short note to show our whereabouts and to let you know that we are out of contact for the next week or so.
