In 28 days time, three young students, Sam Howe, Darran Wood and Steven Jones will fly to Bangkok to begin their summer travels. One can only ponder on what kind of spiritual and cultural enlightenment these backpackers will experience. With hopes of reaching out to our Asian brothers in harmony and love, how will each of them grace and bless Thai society?
Of course, one man has done it all before. We interviewed seasoned traveller and culture vulture Steven "Princess of Thailand" Jones to find out his inner, more extrasensorial feelings regarding his adventures. The conversation occurred after climbing through his window (past a strange looking carrier bag) as Mr. Jones "cud'n' be arsed" to open the door. Speaking from his vomit drenched duvet, we discuss:
Q: Hello.
A: WHAAA??
Q: How do you feel about the big Thailand trip?
A: They bes' 'av smileys. I wan my f***in smileys.
Q: ....thanks...
Despite all the civil war banter going on in Bangkok, we did manage to get an exclusive interview with Red Shirt leader Veera Musikapong. Asked about Steven's return, she comments: "เมื่อเขากลับมาฉันจะระเบิดเขา"...clearly popular with the locals...
In response to the current political turmoil...Steven Jones seems unaffected. He claims 'It will be jokes. I'm not scared'. For someone who seems fearless at the prospect of waltzing through a warzone, we remind the reader of the reaction we saw upon him smashing a Fields House window. Scrambling to collect his shoes, Jones fearfully yelped 'quick! run away!' before scampering back under his rodent infested bed sheets....pathetic...
On a slightly more sensible note, I've applied for my working visa and am now trying to sort out a teaching job with the mysterious fellow that is Arthur. Will inform of any future developments.
Gotta go now...Burton's just called me (my sausage and mash is ready).
Signed,
Steve and Darran's 3rd Wheel.
