If you go to Patagonia, you must visit Torres del Paine. A set of massive mountains with a 10 day hiking track around and through it. Beautiful landscape, blue lakes, frequently changing weather conditions and great nature.
The gateway to the National Park is Puerto Natales, a nice town with the last fuel station for 300 kms and plenty of hiking shops.
In the National Park there are plenty of great hikes, some glaciers with wonderful blue ice, a waterfall where the top part of a lake falls some 10 m down into the lower part of the lake, plenty of lamas (guanacos) next to the road, condors sailing in the sky... But cold and windy all the time.
We took a boat across Lake Grey to the Grey glacier, and were most impressed. Some days ago, a piece of the glacier broke off with a size of 300 by 380 m.
