My name is Isabella Bird. I was born Boroughbridge, Yorkshire in 1831 and I am the eldest in my family. My father is a priest so we had to move house lots of times, which is probably why I like travellling so much. I am starting my travels in Australia which will be nice and hot. I hope so because I am not very well and suffer from lots of health problems. My doctor said the sun will do me good.
