Went in a walking your today around Wenceslas square and saw the memorial to Ian palach who was one of the first students to make a big scene during the Cold War when Czech Slovakia needed help. He set himself on fire to burn and other students of the Charles university were to follow.
We then walked through to old town and saw the astronomical clock which has three different clocks. The roman one, zodiac and astronomical time. When the clock hits the hour the skeleton rings a bell nodding his head signifying the end of time but the other statues shake their heads. The 12 apostles rotate around the top and a cockerel sounds to announce their entrance.
We then walked to the Jewish area where we saw the oldest surviving synagogue and where the famous 'gollum' lived.
Went to the kepplah house to see where he lived and then carried on towards Charles bridge and the tour ended here. We then went to see the dancing towers.
Went back to old town to watch the clock dance and then headed to the markets to see what traditional Czech markets had to offer. Crazy laughing witch dolls mostly...
Went out for a Mediterranean dinner then came back to to hostel to get ready for our Prague international bar crawl!
