night 1: 1125 pm
sleepless nights
Were on board!!
After waiting in the muggy station for an hour, we are finally on board. We are in the
senior/ wheelchair section, the good thing about it is that there aren't many passengers in this box, which means we get our own full two seats for ourself and the ones beside us for full stretch out factor!
the lights closed off just an hour ago. it seems like everyone else has fallen asleep save myself. I am not used to sleeping intrain, but then neither is any one else here. dadi just got up too to say her tasbeeh she said she can't sleep either.
I find myself worrying about small things, like did I get enough food vouchers, or how will we get a breakfast table in the morning.
The lights are nice and dim here, though I wouldn't mind if they were a bit darker. The train just stopped, I wonder why they do that. It even went backward for a while after it went twenty minutes forward. I think the driver really hasn't decided where he would like to go. Perhaps he's a mischievous dare devil and has decided to surprise us. Let's hope my morning journal won't be about how we ended up in Montreal! Well, as an afterthought, Montreal really isn't that bad!
There's a family of three generations of women in front of us. There is a very old lady accompanying them, poor thing, she seemed to be surprised that she was on a train going to Vancouver after she got buckled in only ten minutes aboard the train. The rest of the group is a mother and her two daughters.
The train still hasn't moved yet
And the poor old lady keeps on asking why the train isn't moving, and her granddaughter quickly hushes her up.
Sigh...I'll try to go back to sleep.....
