it's been six hours since our train departed Vancouver station en route Toronto. I was in our skydome, and I hear the view is amazing from here at night as we are in the mountains and you can see the stars real bright.
So I actually do bring my blankie and pillow up herein the dome and there's a few people here, including one young woman my age(who I later discovered had four boys, two were whom her stepsons). She's got her sleeping bag here too, and will be freezing her butt here just to see the stars. P.s I did see the stars and it was STUNNING!! too bad I didn't take a picture!
There was a Irish guy in the seat across from my aisle started a chat with me only five minutes after I had sat there. At first he was fine just making small talk , and then I returned to reading mh book when I thought the conversation was over. I guess I was wrong. It wasn't. He asked a lot of questions about where I was from, what I did, asked about Pakistan, of course I got all into the media aspect of that convo. He was pretty weird, he would talk and pause and then talk and pause again. And then he saw my ring and he's like oh what is that ring for? ( in his peculiar Irish accent). I told him I was engaged, and he had that weird expression and he then said "Well that's a pity" ! I think that ticked me off, what do you mean that's a pity a******? Would I be in you seat making out with you in no time if I were not?? Heck he didn't even have long hair that I'd even bother some innocent flirting. Pssshhhh pity yourself.
Ok I'm fine now. Actually what really ticked me was when he was leaving( he completely stopped talking after he found out I was engaged, actually he did bother to ask if my fiancé was in Toronto, the answer to which he seeme relieved to hear), but he extended his Hand to shake mine, which I did, except he grabbed my hand and kissed it so fast I couldn't react. And he ran off. It just pissed me off becaus eo just told him I was engaged, (plus he didn't even have long hair). And the last two days really were bad cuz I couldn't go up in the dome.
Admirers are fine, but grabbing my hand like that without my permission is just not cool.
Speaking of admirers, I really wish I had kept a little clicker to click exertions I guy asked for my number or gave me theirs when I didn't give mine.Male attention can be useful at times, like getting the first to be on the train, complimentary lunch on the top if the city, or just having personal service others don't get. Ok fine I'm bad, but o dont mind having all this from just an innocent smile!:)))
this is a long blog. signing out!
