So the day has finally arrived!!! The Uh-MaZiNg AdVeNtUrEs will begin!!!
Saying the last goodbyes to family and friends started to get a bit emotional, but before I knew it I was out of the car,(which took the long TOM TOM route to get to Manchester Airport) and busy trying to lift my big bag onto my back, whilst trying not to fall on my back with my feet in the air like a bug...
In, to meet Jen waiting for me at the check in desks... Left a tearful Witty with Mummy and Daddy, but knew I would be seeing Witty and Daddy within a month...
Clambered onto the world's smallest plane to head down to Heathrow, was so so uncomfortable... But when in Heathrow the time pasted quickly and we were sat comfortably in our seats 66G ready for our 11 hour flight...
Getting in to Bangkok and walking for what seemed like forever, from where you get off the plane to where you collect your baggage... We had finally made it and had all our belongings safely with us... We decided that the cheapest way to get to our hotel would be to catch the monorail into town... Trying to get our bags on our backs looked so funny as they were super heavy!!! At last we got to the centre but being me and Law we didn't actually have the address for the Hotel only the name and booking reffernce... So on the phone to Neil and Witty for them to text us the address so we could at least then tell a taxi driver... After finally getting a taxi driver to understand where we wanted to go, we waiting in the hot Bangkok sun waiting to check into our new home for the next few days...
After a really nice night and getting our energy back the next day we went off exploring what there was to do around where we were staying... Ending up sunbathing on the roof of our hotel tryiong to get a tan... until the rain decided to come down and get us nice and wet!!!
Early next morning we were up and ready for our adventure of seeing the many sights in Bangkok... Set with our tour guide Sanny, we were off on the little boat zumming through the river taking in the sights... In the scorching sun we trampled around temples, where I had to put on some wrap trousers and at scarf for a top to shopw my respect...although I was dripping in SWEAT as it was TOO hot to be walking around in the middle of the day...Plus SANNY insisted that he would take photos of myself and Jen at every sight making sure he took the same photo on both cameras and putting us in the picture really small at the corner... But what fun we had!!!
Because it was moonson season, we had to change the mode of transport for our journey up to Chang Mai, we were orginally going to take the night train and get to take in all the sights like Harry Potter on the Hogwarts Express, but sadly the rain had gotten so bad, it had caused a landslide which had taken part of the line away with it... so we hadf to get a bus instead... We were told it would take 8hours, but in fact it took 12hours 30mins... The bus driver kept pulling into the side and stopping, but because we didn't speak the language we didn't klnow the reasons...
But after what seemed like for ever we finally arived in Chang Mai...
