I finally arrived. After a 34-hour-long journey, with lots of high expectations for my new home. And my very first impression was - New Zealand smells like poo. Not in a bad way, though. It's the healthy, organic smell of fresh grass and happy sheep. And that was Auckland airport, anyway. Wellington smells different: like sea, but not like fish. And if you have a cold and your nose is blocked, don't worry. The wind will take the sea air and throw it in your face without mercy, so you won't miss out on this breathtaking aroma experience.
Besides that, there is everything here I was hoping for: the cutest cafés and food places, artistic cinemas, long-beaked birds on the beaches, an amazing secondhand bookstore with the coolest fantasy- and sci-fi section ever and by the way, I already found Sméagol in the Wellington airport hall. And he's gigantic!
Tomorrow I'll take a look at a few rooms, maybe even move into my new home. I'll update on that as soon as possible.
