We've spent the past couple of days sharing stories and photos, beating jetlag, doing laundry to clean off the many layers of Kenyan dust and generally adjusting to life with 5 people....and one bathroom! The photos Lauren took are simply amazing and plentiful that it will be tough to select a small amount for keepsakes.
First stop was to the beach and the strong riptide that flipped Lauren around like a ragdoll (good pic posted)! but laughed through it all. Being 5 minutes away sure has its advantages! We also ventured down to Darling Harbour which was lovely and scenic. No wonder Sydney boosts about its beautiful harbours! We went through the Aquarium, Wild Life Zoo and Madame Tussaud's wax museum. Great to see so many Australian species including of course the koalas and kangaroos!
Yesterday, the effects of Cyclone Nathan and Pam were felt with very high winds and rain at times but we started at Bronte Beach (swam in the ocean pool) and walked along the coast to famous Bronti Beach. The views and shoreline walkway were spectacular but SOOOO windy! The Beach was lovely but didn't stay too long as the sand was blowing everywhere.
Zoo is on the agenda for tomorrow!!
