That was a jaunty wave Scotty, you must be feeling better. Rome is so beautiful we think, all those fountains and steps of the Spanish variety. All the miles you walk in between. But worth it. Pleased that you set all this up Nic, it's so lovely being able to keep in touch this way. Keep Blogsing! Love to you both, Janet x

Just trying to get your Rome adventures printed out. My computer is playing up - I keep getting disengaged from the internet . When I phoned the"Help" line I was put through to an Indian call centre.
As I only speak Hedgehog Hertfordshire and Ahmed speaks, presumably, only Indian, we did not get on too well. In the end he gave up on me!
Good, something is going in! At least I heard that you had a "chinky" (politically incorrect) meal in Rome.
But why weren't you eating the Italian cuisine?
Have just received photos from Jo. Sam looks a right little bruiser - it's almost looks as if he came out of the womb fighting with his fists up! Look forward very much to seeing him in a few weeks.
All for now, lots of love.XXX

Some of the photos have come out on their side so just turn your head or put your computer on its side and they will look great, thanks!

We all agree - Venice is wonderful - Rome's not bad either! Hope you continue to have a really good time. Sorry to hear about Scott, hope he's better now. Hope the finances are holding out! Loads of love, thinking about you often, Love Mumxx

Oh, beautiful Venice. Reminded me of our visit there many years ago! Not sure who planned this epic adventure, but they seem to have got it right so far! The sunshine has found England by the way so I now feel a little less envious when I look at your pics! We have just spent a sunny weekend in Brighton, just doesn't have the same ring to it though does it! Where to next I ask myself. It's a bit like being on a magic carpet, cos I have no idea where I am going to be whisked to next. Love to you both. Janet x

Practising again.....it looks as if I am the only one with time to send a message!
Sorry about Scott's up-set tum - do you think the pigeons could have contributed to it? (Don't go near the monkeys inThailand.)
English lesson: What was so "pretty terrible" (a contradiction in terms) about the single sex dormitory? Did the rest of the sleepers snore? Did you have bed bugs biting you? Was it noisy? Was the mattress lumpy? I expect you had to share a lavatory (the ultimate horror!
And, what was the "nice dinner" you had? If you were a thrush it would be a worm or a snail but as you aren't you must have had a Venetian choice. Titillate our taste buds.
All for now - lots of love. Keep 'em coming.xxxxxx

This is the third attempt - very much "trial and error". I do see that "Nannydaff -Today" appeared on the blog list so must be getting better! Here goes for another try.
Dear ScottandNic (are you joined at the hip?), Delighted you got off to a good start and have printed off your Paris photos, with comments. But as Lou Lou says, "work on the commentary" - put some flesh on the bones.
Had any small adventures yet? Met up with any interesting characters? What did you think of Venice? The local saleroom here - Sworders - recently sold a l7thC. gondola mooring carved as a lion's head for £23,000. Do hope you have popped a couple in your rucksacks.
All for now - hope this doesn't go astray. Look after each other, lots of love and stay "street-wise". XXX
