Wed (16th) cont.... Placencia is situated on Main-land Belize but is split from land by in-land waterways so you still need a water taxi to get around and to get to the Main-land. Trade winds, where we were staying is at the most southerly tip of Placencia on a stretch of beach called 'Pleasent Point'. The Sea Horse dive shop was 2 min away on a small pier. The Cabana was fantastic, very basic but esentiall just a wooden hut on the beach looking out to sea. wow!...

Tuesday (15th) 5.30 am start! Headed to Frenchy's for the Blue hole dive...... .... it was canceled...the wind were too strong to get the boat out there! pah we're British do they not know the conditions that we put up with in the UK!! We turned round and walked the path of disappointment back to the cabana, to the sound of the bully (bullseye) bom bom bom bom bom! our heads hung low dragging the dive kit behind us- "look at what you could have won!" ...

Thursday (10th) Scott foraged through the neighborhood for breakfast, he found a bakery and came up trumps again. Had a full day of diving planned, we got picked up from our cabana in a golf cart and taken to Belize Diving Services. The guides and skipper were great with a good sense of humour even when Clare saw her breakfast cinnamon roll barfed over the side of the boat! we dived on Long Caye Canyons which was nice but the better reefs evaded us because of ...

Wednesday (9th) Early morning drive to Miami, don''t tell him your name Pike? Nearly ran out of fuel in downtown Miami 6 lane superhighway at rush hour! 2 hour flight to Belize International which is tiny- it has 1 baggage carousel in the same room as the customs and passport control. Scott was remembering about times at 25 Flight across the road while Clare was shocked at the size of the plane that we were about to board for our onward flight to Caye Caulker....

Sunday (6th) Had a full days diving 8am till 4pm! First Location was the Benwood wreck which sits quite shallow in about 10 meters of water so it was well lit by the sun. The front is intact and great to see. The marine life was awesome, we saw a huge bright green moray eel and large shoals of fish covering the wreck. The 2nd location was Festive reef, lovely coral and reef fish. lots of large brain coral and bommies. Nice easy diving to bimble around. After ...
