bonjourno,
hmm well lets see where i last left off.
we went to monaco, and we went to one of the cheaper casinos. i was one of the first to start playing. i didn't realize they had so many electronic games, those didn't look fun. so i sat down and bought in blackjack for 20 dollars, playing at 10 minimums. i had forgotten some of it, but the guy kept giving me money. one time i felt like i would get black jack so i bet more, and sure enough i got it! so i got up to 94 at one point. an italian lady sat next to me and started betting on my hands to, and helping tell me when to hit or stay, at first i thought she was giving me money, but then i realizedshe was betting on me. But anyaywas, by the end of the night, i was up 60 profit, so that was cool. we only got to play for about an hour though.i did the best of anyone , expect one couple won 550 off a machine with only 5 dollars. wow.
then we went to florence, and stopped at pisa on the way. italy is a pretty junky place , i dind't realize, but lots of mafia, and graffiti, and wierd stuff. but the landscpae was nice driving in. pisa was good, took some pictures and left. our camprgrounds at florence were cool, they have markets, pubs, discotechs, and lots of nice stuff, downaisdie is its way out of the city. we stareted our italy expirience with a real nice four course meal, spagethhti, pizza, gelato , bread, wine. it was great. i have tried lots of pizza since then, its all different from each other, they never have just sausage, so i get either cheese, or ham. then in florence the next day, we went on a waling tour, and then i went off with two of my friends. i'm glad they came with me, but becasue i like small groups, but i'd rather be alone than with a big one. we swa the dumo, whcih was really nice, i like the different lcolors in it and the big dome. then we saw st. croce chapel, which had alot of tombs like galileo and michaleangelo. then we went to the academia and saw david. pretty impressiv.e i also realized, i guess rennaisance art isn't the one i like so much, its just old and gold, i proboly like romantic/impressionistic better. then we went to the local markets where lots of leather, fake goods, and things werw sold. i havn't gotten fake stuff yet, but i might get a belt or something. we also got lots of gelato, its quite quite goo, trying differnet flavors and lots fo places. i also get coffee lots. then i went shopping. i tried on some shoes, and i liked them. its an italian leather place, and they make htem there. i even bargained with them. i actually got 2 pairs ! they are unique , but classy, so i like them, sucks to pack though. i looked at some jackets too, and tried lots on, but some were too expensive for now. by thge end of the day, we were at a good bar, contiki was there, and live karaoke witha live band just started, and everyone watned to go home. i was exhausted too, but it was going to be fun, so i was mad that we all left.
today we wetnt to orvieto, whcih is that city hill, we saw their duomo and walked around a bit. then went to rome and went on a long walking tour with our guide. i got lots of stuff out tof the way like the trevi fountain, and soem stuff, but i still have to go into colousseum and pantheon. i still have lots of italian foods to try like canoli, cannoli, tiramisu, and lots. i think i'm going around alone tomorrow. oh well. weather heere has been weird, cold in morning, then raining, then hot, then hail, then hot. just crazy stuff. i never carry my backpack around, nor money belt, just wallet in front pocket, and camera in other. i try to blend in with locals though. rome is the last stop for alot of my friends on the trip. its sad, ill miss them, but i guess ill make better freinds with the others, but its getting to that point where some people can annoy me, and i'd rather be alone. oh well, it works still. soo caio
