A beautiful 29c day today. Breakfast down in the breakfast room, the setting a bit less luxurious and the breakfast options a lot less than @ London County Hall. But the croissant was French so that's all that mattered! Off to Paris today. Attempted to catch a train from Waterloo station to St. Pancras but the ticket lines were lengthy and it wasn't a straight route so caught a taxi instead. Arrived with plenty of time to spare. Waited until we were allowed to check in and, right on the allowable check in time, were told that there was some sort of problem with the tracks. Anyone with non essential travel was told to postpone as the delay was "indefinite". There was no help desk...

Last full day in London. Down the Birdcage Walk to Buckingham Palace. We had morning tickets to the Queen's Gallery and day entry for the State Rooms and the Royal Mews. Wow! Saw so much. Besides all the impressive rooms and paintings, they so have the wedding dress of Catherine on display, the wedding cake, etc. The Royal Mews were also interesting and the girls loved seeing the horses. Another early morning start. Off for a walk into town, before back to our hotel and the London Eye next door. Used our pre-bought tickets to breeze straight through. Had a wonderful view of the city, it was very clear. Visited the 4D show which was fun. Bought an all day visitor ticket for public transport and took the bus to Madame Tussauds.
