Today had driver and guide take us all around Ancient Rome. Started at coliseum - it was magnificent. Even though I was sweating, I had full body chills several times. They were playing loud gladiator type music for a major/dignitary event - really gave you the feeling of what it might have been like as a "show". Total death and gore - just incredible.... The underground place where the slaves, animals and gladiators were - was a whole city in itself. I truly had chills looking at the wall/ ceiling in one entry way of the coliseum where the Jewish slaves inscribed a fresco with a map of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple and the FIRST representation of the crucifixion of Christ. It was 50 A.D. That's just 20 years after the crucifixion of Christ. She said it was done by Jewish slaves who actually witnessed the event. I was OVERWHELMED by The presence of GOD! I totally teared up - I couldn't help it... kinda glad I had sunglasses on... I was probably the only person in the coliseum crying
