Mumbai to Bangkok. Take off Local time 2.30am
Arrive Bangkok local time: 7.00am Approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes.
When we walked out the airport we were blasted by an extraordinary heat. Made me feel sick and like I couldn't breathe- already talking about how nice it would be to smell the fresh, crisp air of the UK. We've met a few english people in the airport so jumping in a cab with them to make it cheaper. Not really sure where we are going though so all a bit daunting.
We booked into the hotel room at The Rambuttri. It's lovely but the only bad thing is the shower which is annoying when your feeling this sticky. Having said that it is very clean and the pool on the roof is amazing. All together quite a bargain!
Khao San Road is incredible! Really Really busy and SO much shopping!
A man basically forced us into his tuk tuk (we are obviously standing out like sore thumbs - as white as milk, probably should of had a sunbed before I came out here) We eventually agreed to go for a ride to the sky hotel. He was happy to take us for 40bht (less than 1pound) as long as we stopped at the tourist centre so he could get free petrol.
In the tourist centre we had to talk to some guy for 10 minutes and pretend that we were interested in buying something.
Once we were done we hoped back in the tuk tuk and made our way to : The Sky Hotel? Nope! to a suit shop of course, so he could get more petrol. We refused to get out. He then got the hump with us and just told us to get out the tuk tuk. Another tuk tuk then tried to charge us double to drive us home. Luckily we didn't end up paying either of them and just walked home- not entirely sure if we were heading in the right direction. Good experience but not sure I want to go in one of those again!
1st Pad Thai and spring roll for lunch. Was really tasty might have to have that for dinner and breakfast again tomorrow.
The pollution is insane here! My nose and my throat are hurting!
Bed at 4pm- Can not stay awake any longer!
