Up early again to catch the bus to Cahuita. It was raining when we left, but luckily it had cleared up by the time we arrived. Dumped our bags and went for breakfast. I tried to get a cup of tea, but got a cup of hot milk with a tea bag in it. Yuck..
Our hotel was right next to the national park, which has amazing beaches. I forgot my camera, and went back for it, and on the way back, I saw a giant iguana on the beach, probably about 3 feet long, but didn't get a photo, it was too fast. Sat on the beach for a while, and a monkey came down from a tree and tried to steal our stuff. The beach was right next to the forest, so we saw some sloths, and 2 types of monkeys in the trees. On the way to lunch, we saw a wee turtle crossing the sand and going into the water.
Managed to get lots of random patches of sunburn. woot.
Went for more Caribbean food at a wee place called Madam Edith's. Kevin dared me to eat a super spicy chilli pepper. I managed one bite, and had to spit it out, my mouth was on fire so had to put salt on it to stop it burning. Yuck.
Back to pack our stuff for another early start in the morning
