Day 1
Ok so today has been a bit more interesting except we've got nothing to do till 6 tonight when we meet our tour guide. We started off the day with toast because we're still a bit jet lagged and we'd woken up at 1am disorrientated and feeling weird. Stu feels like he's coming down with something aswell which is a bit crap because where do you find day nurse in Thailand??
After breakfast we decided to go for a walk and find an ATM. We've learnt to stick to speaking to English people because the Thai people help...and then try and sell you something. They tell you that there's a temple that's been open for 7 days and today is the last day and he'll make you a deal if you go on his tuk tuk with him, whatever trevor. And there's loads of dogs and cats but the don't even come up to you, they just sit there looking sad :-(...but they're still fat! And then some guy came up to us and asked if we wanted weed or coke... We decided we were going to walk to the kings palace but we got told we'd be pestered with people trying to get us to go on their tour so we found a park near the river which was really nice and chilled. People were just asleep on blankets on the floor.
Bangkok is just so busy and it seems like there's no space for anything...oh and it smells. The local food is cooked on the street and looks weird. And crossing the road, is like crossing the A6...without the traffic lights! There's loads of sky scrapers and then tiny houses rammed together.
So now we're just sat waiting for 4 and a half hours becuase there's nowhere to chill really. The tour starts tonight and we're excited to meet new people, we keep meeting people but they come and go. The hotel is full of back packers of all ages. Anyway, we'll try and keep you all updated as much as we can. Love you and miss you all!!!! Love Scarlett and Stu x x x x x x x x x x
