Day 17
Again, another long day of travelling on coaches. With an early get up at 6:30 there were some quiet and sleepy people. But it was worth the journey to the Cameron Highlands. It's where all sorts of things are growns but it's famous for it's Tea Plants and Strawberries. The views on the way up the mountain were goreous, just like the picture featured. Though the roads were very twisty and it was a long journey up.
The guest house we stayed in was very homely. There were seating areas with tv's and a laundry room. Stu and Ben watched American Gangster whilst Scarlett did some handwashing as the laundry wouldn't be back in time. For tea we went to a restaurant were we all pretty much took over as it was so small and there are so many of us. Stu got a steam boat with Suzie and Ben which is a pot on the table filled with boiling water. You are given a load of raw food that you have to cook which was a much better bet than what Scarlett chose. She got chicken curry but the chicken was pink! The tour leader sent it back to be cooked properly but it came back just the same!
On the way home we stopped at the shop to get some alcohol. Stu and Ben watched the football when we got in and Scarlett played drinking games with some of the people on our tour. The vodka was only 1.50! But she paid for it when it was her turn for shots!! It was worth the laughs though.
Love Stu and Scarlett xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
