After a little accident involving losing / misplacing / leaving our passports in Koh Samui Tim, Alan and i headed back to Pucket to recieve a very welcome delivery at Pucket airport ( infact it wasn't only our passports, but tickets home, Diving certificate, the lot). As Tim and I have only a 30 tourist visa we were cutting it fine to do a visa run to anther country and then re-enter thailand - getting another tourist visa. As we were at Phucket airport we decided to fin out what flights were available. Air Asia came up with a flight to Kuala Lumper in 2 hours for around 35 pounds. We took it and arrived in Kuala Lumpur in the evening hoping to find a guest house to take us in.
One freezing bus journey later and we arrive in central Kuala Lumpur. We picked a random guest house from lonely planet and headed there in a local taxi. We were very lucky in that there was a room available, it was cheap - about 8 pounds between us, and the owner was really friendly.
We walked around to sus out our surroundings , and were happy to find that we were in the centre of the city , near all the hussle and bussle. In the following days we did all the site seeing - petronas towers, KL tower, Palace etc etc. We also manage to meet up with one of Tim's old school friends that he hadn't seen for 15 years. Sarah and Zafri showed us round the city - taking us to a couple of Mamma ( see pic) and around where all the cool kids go - Tim and I stuck out like sore thumbs! It was really nice to meet them, and we had an excellent time.
We had heard about an overnight bus that goes to Singapore, and after browsing the cheap airlines to see if any other destinations took our fancy, we decided to book a cabin to singapore for the 19th, another day, another city......
