prague has definitely been worth the visit! the first day that we arrived, it was a girl on our trip, Josie's, birthday so we all had the dinner at our hostel that included free wine which i completely took advantage off... then we went into town to a place called the beer factory to watch the Eurocup quarterfinals. the beer factory was really fun because you sat at a table and had a keg with a couple of taps for you to pour your own beers and it kept track of how many liters you had poured... then on the wall it had a screen of how many beer each table had had and we were number one by far with like 58 liters!! then we all had late night kfc haha!! then yesterday we went on a bit of a walking tour and got to walk through all of the old squares and then walked over the charles bridge which is the picture that you see here. shel slept in all day till about 6 and after mal, kath, a nd i came back from the tour we joined her in bed and tried to recoup from the past night to get ready for that night. so after we woke up, mallory and i went into the sauna and then swam a few laps... then shel and kath joined us to play a couple of games of beach volleyball and watched the Russia vs. the Netherlands game before we went into town. This hostel is pretty dang nice... there are a ton of fun things to do and there is so much space in our room (7 bed areas for the 4 of us!). but so, last night we went into town to a place called Duplex which was amazing... it was a five story bar that when you first walk in after you've paid, you get taken up an elevator to the first story of the club which is the 5thish story of the building. it was really nice because you could go in to one of the dance floors and go crazy if you wanted to or go out to the massive balcony and just chill (like most of our group did) and soak in the beautiful view( there was either the national museum or parlaiment building right down the road that was all lit up and gorgeous and then the rest of the view of the street was spectacular as well). Then today, we went on a bike tour that was pretty dang fun! we biked along the river and by old opera and theater houses and then our favorite was the john lennon wall that was covered in people's drawings that started back when college students were protesting communism. there were huge pictures like a peace sign that said "imagine" that many people over time had added to.... there was even a picture that said delta love that some tridelts from i think Florida State had drawn! after that i wandered around the town for a bit while shel went to eat some mexican food with the rest of the group and then i went back for another massive nap because i feel like i might be getting a little sick :( my head is just a little stuffy... so no big... just want to be on my A game for the rest of the trip.
time for happy hour :)
